*Students will be bringing home mid term grade reports Tuesday
This is a four day week and we will be continuing to practice our calligraphy and create an illuminated manuscript with our names. Students have learned and practiced writing in the typeface Chancery Cursive using a C style calligraphy nib and india ink (hence the stained fingers).
Next week will be the beginning of the MEAP test and both classes will have only 4 art sessions. We will glaze our Greek and Roman vases and learn Sumi painting with the india ink.
Students will begin scratching a design into their clay plate at the beginning of the week. Students will also complete one more Native American project creating a rug design that will be created using graphic software.
Upcoming Due Dates: (5 points will be deducted if late)
We began a project last week learning about space and began creating a city in 2 point perspective. Students will learn how to draw windows, doors, roads, sidewalks and signs using 2 vanishing points. The city will then become Surreal in nature. The project will wrap up next week when we begin a clay teapot.
Upcoming Due Dates (5 points will be deducted if late)
Students have been busy learning about the principles of design and working on ideas for the yearbook cover. This week students will be designing a personal logo using Artweaver.
